Women's garb question -- what do you call this thing?
Saw something on a lady at Dead Marches that I really liked. Trouble is, I don't know what to call this garment, and without knowing what it's called I can't buy it or a pattern to make one.
It looked sort of like a jerkin with a skirt. A fitted, sleeveless vest with a skirt that hung to mid-thigh and which was split several times from the hip down.
I've seen women wearing things like this on a couple of occasions, but it never occurred to me to ask if there was a name for this garment.
Any ideas?

Let's call it a battle jerkin. Make one! Sounds cool.

Ha, I totally forgot I posted this here.
I asked on the national forums, too; apparently it's called a Ghawazee coat, and yes, there is one in my future.
