Re: Breathing during fighting... problems and solutions

I've got a possible helpful idea pertaining to this topic.

In weight lifting... you generally want to exhale when lifting the weight... that would translate into exhaling when throwing a shot. If I remember correctly from watching any sort of martial arts, I'm fairly certain they exhale when throwing strikes as well.

Very helpful topic guys, Kudos.

I wasn't gonna mention that...... buuuuttttt..... yeah. I do get a little chuckle that a few of the fighters most worried about improving themselves are also the ones smoking a pack a day...

But maybe that's why training is so important... gotta overcome the negative effects of the vice emoticon

Re: Breathing during fighting... problems and solutions

I have a problem with holding my breath too. I always notice while walking to rez I'm taking o2 in like nobodies business...and usually take some extra time getting back to fighting...
BUT ..what I have read here is awesome and I think it will help... 1st yelling damage 2nd the forced exhale with a possible fake. 3rd the yell with a combined 1 and 2......I'll start with just hitting a heavy bag with a blue and yelling....the hammer well that is a wonder because I tighten up my whole body when I swing....maybe a long yell..I'll get back to ya. THANK YOU all this is a good training point Oh and the "bag" is on a stand so it acts like a pell....
