DAGGERS:

A quick discussion on dagger designs can be found here. There are more elsewhere on the interwebs; go find them.

Generally, you dont see a lot of daggers on the field because (A) they are small and easily concealed or overlooked, and (2) not a lot of people use them to start with because they are small and dont work well against armored opponents.
---------------------------------------------
RAPIERS:

I've never made a rapier before, but you should be able to make a rapier in essentially the same method as a dagger (see above) or a spear (Eryndor Spear Tutorial), but with an appropriately sized core. Normal 3/4" PVC would be appropriate, probably.

Unfortunately, rapiers (and the fencing style) do not translate very well to Dagorhir fighting. I'm not going to tell you to not make one; there's always a first for something. That said, rapiers are one of "those things" that usually don't work as planned.
--------------------------------------------
VERSATILE SWORDS

By "versatile swords," I'm assuming that you're looking for swords that you can also stab with (essentially, a sword that is both Blue and Green). This is very doable, and a basic tutorial can be found here. There are other instructions elsewhere, so go find them and pick which one you want to use (try searching for "sword with stabbing tip" or similar keywords).

Swords with stabbing tips, however, do have a tendency to break down more quickly than those that do not. Back when I used to use stabbing weapons (my fighting style has changed since), mine would usually last for one spring-summer season before they would die and I would have to make another for the next year.

I hope all of this helps. Best of luck with the builds. -Caeddyn

Rapiers do NOT work in dag... don't bother.

Stabbing tips on blues break down REAL fast, to the point that you shouldn't rely on it, or bother.

Daggers are fun. emoticon

I'm going to take whatever you haven't nailed down... Nevermind... I'll take that too.
