Good armor makers

Hey I'm looking into getting some good quality leather armor. Basically I want a gladiator sleeve that protects my whole arm shoulder and the my right upper chest and back along with a leather gauntlet. I'd also like to get some symbols engraved into the leather mainly the legacy symbol and my coat of arms. Then possibly a pair of greaves for my upper thighs.

Any companies that I should talk to because I've tried emailing a few and I have not received a response back.

It is in the long run much better to make it yourself my friend. This insures that it will fit with your design and body type, will be cheaper for intense detail work, and will be WAY more fulfilling.

Because you want something as unique as the Legacy insignia it would cost a ridiculous ammount. When I back-checked how much it would have cost to have a company ingrave the Quranic passages on my armour they said that they would have charged my over $1,500. It cost me $150 and maybe 10 hours in labour.

Long story short, do it yourself!

That looks like SCA armor.

In Dag, hand protection gets you nothing (other than looking cool, possibly), since you can just punch-block shots. And believe me - Muhdurin is right. From my account, I've spent too much money on store-bought leather armor. Making it yourself is much more affordable, satisfying, and personal, rather than buying the stuff from a faceless online company.

if you need armor scraps hobby lobby sells a big bag, enough to make all your armor, for about 6-7 dollars
as for engraving idk if you want rivets i actually recommend ebay if you know what your looking for because the cheapest rivets Ive seen were 12.99 for a tiny bag

For engraving your armour, you will want to use something called a freehand stiching groover (here is a link to the tool on Tandy Leather's website). It basically pulls the leather through a small sharpened hole that will cut your design into the leather itself.

I used it to etch the Arabic onto my torso piece. It allows for very detailed and accurate work:

I presently have a Gladiator's arm sleeve that's a two-piece affair for the right arm and would be willing to sell it for $50.

http://www.medievalcollectibles.com/p-1904-gladiator-leather-arm-armour.aspx

This is the armor piece that I have and I am presently selling it for about $18 lower than their sale price and taking a loss of $60 on it. I also have a gladiator's single pauldron for the shield side if you're intrested. I'll sell them both $90 if you're interested. You can get in contact with me via PM. The reason I'm selling the arm armor is the fact that I am a bit too big for it to fit comfortably and am presently saving up money to re-kit myself in leather.
