Re: Eryndor Wiki
Hey, that's not our unit name! You call us LoL and LIKE IT.
I think Linwe would very much like to be part of this, and as for me personally I'm a bit more interested strictly from a fleshing out uncharted areas of the Continent perspectives... I'm particularly drawn to anything that hasn't popped up in any tale yet.

Re: Eryndor Wiki
Mudurin is busy eating babies and sodomising toddlers. I will assist you. Wiki's are actually grown, all you do is add water. You should try it.
The thing about wiki's is that people are supposed to give us information about things... if no one does or has, then a sentence is more than they should get.
And last, languages. It's pretty difficult to make something that other people can read if we put it in a different language.
Yes, there are other languages, Orks speak a diversified Orcish, however I don't believe they have a written. The Parparthi have a GRAND language... ask Mudurin sometime. And various other places have differing versions on "common" since we don't call it "english".

Re: Eryndor Wiki
Sorry, I was off on an adventure far from the internet for the past week.
The wiki source I used for both the Eryndor and the Senegal's Finest wiki is THIS
But, I am not sure if I would suggest trying to use it. It is a kind of weird setup and takes some getting used to the format and to the little fumbs and hiccups. But it is free.
As for languages, I always assumed that there were many languages. To use "real world" analogs I divide it up as so:
There is a common speech (if you are truely interested I figured it was descended from the language used by the original peoples that were destroyed by the War of the Two Brothers. Thus explaining the wide-spread use) Common would be understood to varying degrees across Al-Qarra
Examples of Analogs:
Regional Dialects:
Parparth: Arabic
Dugwaur: Scandinavian languages
Hithdor and Duindor: Graeco-Latinesque with heavy Elven/Ancient manish kingdom influences
Cirion: languages built around preexisting ones with a focus on alternative meanings
Elves: Sindarin and Quenya
Orcs: tribal languages centered around region
Gohthica: Mostly Common with a Spanish and slight North African influence
Bubar, Callen, and other Hithdorian Satellite states: An English/Scottish dialect (don't know why...I think it is the obscure reference to whaling, the Senegal, and Bubar once made...)
Also, the stuff with one sentence is being worked on slowly. Red Jack and I are slowly expanding on ideas as we draw up the map. If you have any ideas, post them!

Re: Eryndor Wiki
i know ppl are busy but im noticing alot of missing information. perhaps someone could update the wiki?
also i measured the continent and found that it is (according to my math) 1,584 miles from the northern most cliff of Forfalas to the very south-eastern tip of Haradaria
i measured the pass of d'dianc (44 miles) and used that as my unit of measure. the continent is 36 times as long as that road therefore 36 times X(x=44)=1584
i may have miscalculated but this is what i came up with
for the record i hate math with a murderous passion and after doing this i wont be doing any math for a long time
i would see how far it is from the eastern most end to the very tip of thaw but im sure someone else will do that now

The wiki has gone defunct. All wik.is sites are gone like the wind.
