The Story of Gwaur
This is my idea for my character...
Gwaur's village was destroyed by black orcs forcing him into the forest at the tender age of 10. With no parents he learned to rely on woodland creatures and was taken in by a small pack of wolves. Without access to the expensive weaponry, he became proficient with natural weapons found in the forest. When Gwaur became older he started guiding travelers through the perilous woods. One fateful day Gwaur was hired by Athron, not far into the trip he was told stories of the Eryndorriam and the fight against evil. Eager to prove his skills and purge the land of the evil black orcs, Gwaur joined the Crusade.
I know... its pretty sweet... any thoughts?

Re: The Story of Gwaur
I like the outline a lot.
Simple, unique, has lots of potential for detail, and it can be intergrated into the storyline quite easily.
Nice job!
Also, since you're not a tribesman like Deakon, but definately are one of the woods, it'll be interesting how your garb will be different than Deakons.
I would imagine yours will be less tribal in nature (not so much the facepaint, markings, and such) because you're with wolves, who obviously won't have a "culture" like a Deakon or Wyldymyr tribe.
Can't wait!

Re: The Story of Gwaur
He and I have been talking about different garb ideas, we've got some good ones. So we'll see what we can throw together for him.

Re: The Story of Gwaur
I'm liking the story, but here are a few things to consider.
- If you have accepted this new life with the beasts, do you still yearn for your old loved ones? (if so, revenge is more of a motive, if not maybe you simply want to preserve the balance of the earth from the threat of Maegamarth)
- Is it only wolves who have taken you in or all beasts? If only wolves, do they expect you to submit all of your mundane qualities (footwear, extensive clothing) and become more beastlike yourself?
-You really might want to look at the map of The Continent and investigate Lum'Lumba and Cove Woods. Sounds like it might be right up your alley.
