New Policy for Noobs
Hey guys,
For those first three practices, when a newbie used to only be allowed to use a single blue sword, we have now made it so that a newbie can use a shield and blue sword.
Why did we make this change? Our observation over these 3 years has been that a newbie (or new recruit) is no more dangerous with a shield and sword than they are with a single blue sword. If anything, they may be MORE safe with a shield and sword, as they tend to not make panicky, blind swings at an opponent (the opponent's head, to be more exact) when they are holding a shield.
We are still are not allowing them to pick up florentine fighting, as this is definately the weapon combo that leads to the most wild, uncontrolled swings.
If you have thoughts or comments, post it in Gen. Discussion.

Re: New Policy for Noobs
It was also agreed that the use of polearms be prohibited by Newbies.
Newbies may not wield bows, polearms, or multiple swinging (blue and red) weapons.
