Gathering of the Clans - Ft. Wayne/Columbia City, IN - May 18-19th
The Northern Steppes is excited to be hosting its first ever campout. After years of day events we wanted to step it up a notch and bring something new to the area.
The event will feature day battles and fierce fighting with a few themed scenario battles, but nothing that will slow the action down. After a feast we will start the main event. The Gathering of the Clans is about the barbarian culture up in the north and only the strongest fighters get to rule. Come prove your worth in an evening full of pit fighting glory! We will be hosting a pit fighting tournament that not only tests your combat prowess, but also your ability to win over the crowd if you want an edge on your opponent. During the tournament everyone else will be getting a chance to get in on the action as well. Between tournament bouts, additional fights will take place with two fighters entering and letting a spin of the Wheel of Chaos determine their fighting destiny. Only one will walk out the victor. There will be money changers all around to take your bets as you try to gain as much wealth as you can in one night. You may use the spoils of your shrewd betting to bid for prizes at the end of the night. We will also crown the newest champion of the clans as the tournament concludes.
If you want great fighting and great nightlife, come out and prove your worth. Here is a link to the Facebook event page so you can pre-reg and get your cabin spot right away.
Cabins are available on a first come first serve basis. They can be reserved before hand by pre-registering, which can be done on the page linked here.

Cost covers camping and an evening feast. We are renting the whole campground. There is access to a small beach and lake should anyone feel like they need to cool off (no lifeguards will be on duty and we can't guarantee a pleasant lake temperature). We also have access to a mess hall building.
We will be running field battles in the late morning/early afternoon with a feast in the late afternoon.
We ask that participants use a period container (or suitable non-disposable container) for beverages. We also ask that participants do their best to meet and exceed the garb requirements for Dagorhir Battle Games on and off the field.
When you register at troll each person will be given tokens to gamble on Pit Fighters.
At the end of the evening we will have an auction of fine treasures on which to spend your tokens.
We encourage musicians and dancers to enjoy the heat of our bonfire and join us in setting the scene for a night of revelry.
Last, but surely the tastiest, Rowan Proudoak will be grill master and be selling fine camp fire eats for the paltry sum of $1 per item.
Pre-Reg attendees will receive 50% more gambling tokens and two $1 food tickets.
