Crossroads: The Orc Wars
Friday, July 29 - July 31
Sequoia Campground
2675 Gady Rd.
Adrian, MI 49221
Cost in calculation still, most likely $15
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Long ago in Eryndor's history there was a time when magic still existed in the land, a time when Paladin's lead armies of brave men, and a time when hordes of orcs, goblins, and trolls were a scrouge that threatened to blot out mankind from the Continent. With Crossroads this year we are going to flash back to those days and relive the glory of the Orc Wars.
Crossroads will be a role-playing intense, battle-filled, and character driven event. Each person who attends this event will be playing a fully fleshed out and important character.
Logistically speaking the people attend will be split into three Factions. 50% of the people there will be in the Orc Faction, fighting to free themselves from slavery under Humans. 25% will be fighting under the glorious banner of Hithdor, fighting to defend their Republic from the orcish onslaught. The final 25% will be in the Belegar Faction, fighting to guard the borders of their Kingdom and to push those borders even further. The Factions are rather strict, but there is no limit to what kind of character you can play within these guidelines! Scoundrels, gamblers, pirates, mercenaries, scholars, wizards, and all other manner of character can find there way into this event!
The armies of man will stand off against the collected hordes of the orcs and goblins of the Continent. Which side will you be on?

I was under the impression that the pinkies where always on the menu... Also: roasted pinkies are the best.

Re: Crossroads: The Orc Wars
Do you have to be 18 to go to this event or just have a signed waiver.

Re: Crossroads: The Orc Wars
People were also asking on the national boards (I lurk there a lot) about waivers and minors. Correct me if I'm wrong but they need;
Signed, notarized waiver
Guardian on site (doesn't have to be parent, has to be someone present at the event who is responsible for the minor)
Anything else?

Re: Crossroads: The Orc Wars
Greetings, friends!
I posted a question about this on the national boards, and I was told to post here for further clarification.
It was briefly discussed that minors ages 16-17 needed a notarized and signed waiver. I was under the impression though, that the did not need a parent/guardian on-site throughout the event. Is this correct? The notarized waiver will suffice? If they DO need a guardian, do you allow temporary guardians (21+, who will assume responsibility of them throughout the event)? I have only one member in my unit who this applies to, and he looks forward to coming to this with us!
Looking forward to a great event! It will be nice to meet some of you Eryndor folks!

Re: Crossroads: The Orc Wars
I've decided to portray a mountain ranger at this event:
Colban Lurio, Ranger of the Pale Mountain Guard, and regional minor constable of Hithdor's northeast realm.
I will be wielding a sword, shield, bow and Hithdorian standard.
--- Conflict is inevitable. Victory is not.
