I really can't use a Strap shield to save my life. Every time I touch a strap shield I die. It's kind of like cryptonite or anything else that kills you when it's touched.
Actually, now that I think about it, even if I'm using a punch shield, I die. Unless I don't agress any one and pepole forget about me, I usually die in every battle.

my shield choice depends on what style of fighting im gonna use. i used punch exclusively for my first 2 years, then ive used strap almost my entire 3rd year. i tend to favor strapped...but i like punches everynow and then when i wanna be fancy
freewynd...everyone knows size matters
